Desi Lydic, born Lani Desmonet Lydic on June 30, 1981, in Louisville, Kentucky, developed an early interest in comedic acting, inspired by Carol Burnett. She began her career in film with an uncredited role in the 2001 parody film ‘Not Another Teen Movie’ and later attended the University of Louisville before moving to Los Angeles to pursue improvisational acting at The Groundlings and Improv Olympic (iO). Her early television credits include appearances in ‘What I Like About You’ (2003), ‘CSI: NY’ (2005), and a notable role in the Spike miniseries ‘Invasion Iowa’ alongside William Shatner. She also featured in film productions, including ‘We Bought a Zoo’ (2011) with Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson, and ‘The Babymakers’ (2012) with Olivia Munn, establishing herself in both comedic and dramatic roles.
