Heidi Cortez

Heidi Cortez was born on March 11, 1981, in San Bernardino County, California. Her career began to gain significant momentum in November 2005 when she was hired by Howard Stern. She served as a radio host and co-writer for a segment on his Sirius XM satellite channel. In this role, Cortez read comical and engaging bedtime stories to listeners. This engagement with a prominent media personality marked an early milestone in her career in broadcasting. In August 2006, the segment concluded.

Following her radio work, Cortez released her first book, “Heidi’s Bedtime Stories,” on November 7, 2006, through Simon & Schuster. The book quickly achieved commercial success by making Barnes & Noble’s Best Sellers List. The book was re-published in paperback in June 2007, indicating its continued popularity. Alongside her writing, Cortez developed an international modeling career, appearing in publications such as Maxim Magazine, and was featured in various TV commercials and music videos. From 2007 to 2008, she appeared for two seasons as herself on the reality television show “Sunset Tan” on the E! Network, further expanding her public profile.

Cortez is also an entrepreneur, owning Cabana Tans, a large tanning salon in northern Nevada located in Reno. She also created and manages the website ThePerfectStory.com. Her entrepreneurial activities extend to writing, with her second book, “For Somebody Who Knows Nobody: How to Start Your Modeling Career,” published in 2014, and a fourth book, “Get Verified And Profit Like A Boss,” released in 2022. She actively participates in charitable endeavors, supporting organizations such as Social Vibe and Direct Relief International.
