Hlwan Paing is a celebrated Burmese singer-songwriter, rapper, actor, and gaming streamer known for his influential contributions to the Pop and Asian Pop music scenes in Myanmar, and his ability to blend traditional Burmese music with contemporary elements. After rising to national fame in 2009 with his hip-hop rap skills on Ye Lay’s track ‘Ma Nhoute Sat Chin Bu,’ Hlwan Paing released his debut album, ‘Done Pyan’ (Rocket), in 2011 as a duo with Bobby Soxer. This album, featuring hit songs like ‘Done Pyan’ and ‘Bo Kay,’ quickly earned the ‘Best Music Album Award’ from both Shwe FM and City FM the same year.
