Ian Ziering was born on March 30, 1964, in Newark, New Jersey, and was raised in West Orange, New Jersey. He began his career at a young age, appearing in national commercials by the age of 12. His early acting work included roles in soap operas such as “Guiding Light” and stage productions. In 1981, he made his feature film debut in “Endless Love,” which also marked initial film appearances for other future notable actors. Ziering attended William Paterson University, graduating in 1988.
His career significantly advanced in 1990 when he secured the role of Steve Sanders on the television series “Beverly Hills, 90210.” He remained with the show for its entire ten-year run, gaining international recognition. During this period, he also featured in other productions like “No Way Back” (1995) and contributed voice work to animated series such as “Biker Mice from Mars.” After “Beverly Hills, 90210” concluded, Ziering continued to appear in various television shows, including “CSI: NY” and “JAG,” and further expanded his voice-acting portfolio with roles in “Spider-Man: The New Animated Series” and “Batman Beyond.”
