Isaiah Hodgins is an American professional football wide receiver with a track record of significant contributions to NFL teams, most notably with the New York Giants and currently with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Isaiah Hodgins, born on October 21, 1998, in San Jose, California, began his football journey early, attending Berean Christian High School in Walnut Creek. A highly-rated recruit, he committed to Oregon State University, where he quickly became an impactful player. As a true freshman in 2017, Hodgins started six of 11 games, securing 31 receptions for 275 yards and two touchdowns. His performance continued to develop in his sophomore year, starting nine of 11 games and recording 59 receptions for 876 yards and five touchdowns. His junior year in 2019 marked a significant achievement, catching 86 passes for 1,171 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning him Second-team All-Pac-12 honors. Following this successful season, Hodgins declared for the NFL Draft.
Hodgins was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. His early career with the Bills included a four-year contract and a debut in Week 16 of the 2021 season against the New England Patriots, after dealing with injuries. He was with the Bills until November 2022, when he was claimed off waivers by the New York Giants. With the Giants, Hodgins experienced a career surge, becoming a key offensive player during the latter half of the 2022 season, accumulating 351 yards on 33 receptions and scoring touchdowns in four of his last five regular season games. A highlight of his tenure with the Giants was his performance in the NFC wild card round playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings in 2023, where he recorded 105 receiving yards and a touchdown on eight receptions, contributing to the Giants’ victory. He re-signed with the Giants for a one-year contract in 2023, appearing in all 17 games and starting nine, finishing with 21 receptions for 230 yards and three touchdowns.
After his time with the Giants, Hodgins signed a reserve/future contract with the San Francisco 49ers in early 2025 before joining the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad on September 17, 2025, where he currently remains. His career has been marked by determination and consistent effort, establishing him as a reliable wide receiver in the National Football League.
