Show-stopping drag performer Jada Shada Hudson dominated Toronto’s drag scene for over a decade before stealing hearts on Canada’s Drag Race. Her reputation as a gracious and bubbly entertainer garnered the attention of top brands in campaigns for Bud light, Fireball BMO and Spotify, and after landing a spot on Season 3 of RuPaul’s top-rated show she soon became the break-out star of her season. Bringing her Caribbean flavour to Drag Race, she wowed the judges and viewers at home with her outfits, sparkling personality, comedy “reads” and performances. Jada made it to the final two, and after finishing runner-up she has become a household name recognised around the globe.
Born Dwight Giraud in the paradise island of Barbados, Jada wanted to become an entertainer from being a small child. After she struggled to find success in her home country, she left the island for Canada and fell in love with Toronto. Jada’s uniqueness as a performer soon garnered the attention of the owners at popular bar Crews and Tangos when she entered a talent show at the venue, and she soon became a rising star of the city’s drag scene.
Since becoming a fan favourite on Canada’s Drag Races she has featured in Elle Canada, opened for global megastar Lizzo and was even invited by The Toronto Argos to do their Pride game ball delivery.
