Jake Abel

Jacob Allen “Jake” Abel was born on November 18, 1987, in Canton, Ohio. His acting career began in 2005 with a role in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Go Figure,” portraying Spencer. Following this, he gained a recurring guest role in the CBS science fiction series “Threshold.” Over the next few years, Abel expanded his television credits with guest appearances in notable shows such as “Cold Case” and “ER.”

A significant turning point in Abel’s early career was his work in the film “Flash of Genius” (2008), which earned him a Rising Star award at the 16th Hamptons International Film Festival. The year 2009 saw him appear in Peter Jackson’s film “The Lovely Bones” and secure a regular role in the web series “Angel of Death,” which ran for 10 episodes. That same year, he joined The CW series “Supernatural” as Adam Milligan, a role he reprised multiple times over a decade. His film career advanced further with his role as Luke Castellan in “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” (2010), a character he returned to in “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” (2013).

Abel continued to take on diverse roles, starring in science fiction films like “I Am Number Four” (2011) and “The Host” (2013), an adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s novel. He also portrayed musician Mike Love in the biographical drama “Love & Mercy” (2014) and later joined the cast of the Netflix science fiction drama “Another Life” (2019) as a series regular. His more recent work includes the horror film “Malignant” (2021) and a reunion with his “Supernatural” co-star Jared Padalecki on the series “Walker” (2022-2023), where he played Kevin Golden. In 2020, Abel served as the audiobook voice narrator for Stephenie Meyer’s “Midnight Sun,”. He is also scheduled to appear in “The Red Mask” (2025) and “Fog of War” (2025).
