From his beginnings in Los Angeles, Jallal has established himself as a rapper and actor, collaborating with renowned artists and launching his own fashion brand. After releasing his debut mixtape ‘Semi-Casual Love’ in 2011, Jallal quickly established himself as a dynamic rapper and actor, collaborating with prominent artists and receiving mentorship from Lupe Fiasco. This initial project was soon followed by his second mixtape, ‘Unwilling Fortay,’ which captured the attention of Yasiin Bey, also known as Mos Def, who became another significant mentor. Jallal’s early career saw him touring extensively, supporting Mos Def on several US tours starting in 2013, solidifying his presence in the music scene.
Jallal maintained a steady release schedule in the following years, releasing the singles ‘Without Drake, Mos Def and Lupe Fiasco,’ ‘The Truth,’ and ‘The Heat’ in 2018. In 2019, he released ‘You Gon’ See’ and unveiled a music video for ‘We Made the Same’ featuring Tala Ashe.
