Terra Newell

Terra Newell became widely known through her involvement in the “Dirty John” true crime narrative, which detailed her family’s traumatic encounter with John Meehan. On August 20, 2016, Newell was ambushed by Meehan, her then stepfather, in what became a widely publicized incident. Her actions in self-defense resulted in Meehan’s death.
