Jamie Lambert, born on June 19, 1990, in Washington, Tyne and Wear, established his career within the entertainment industry as a distinguished recording artist and theatrical producer. His journey began to gain significant public recognition in 2014 as a member of the musical theatre group Collabro. Before his success with Collabro, Lambert had cultivated a background in finance, working part-time for the Barts Health NHS Trust in London, and previously with the South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust. His early artistic endeavors included solo performances at various local events like mayoral charity functions, the South Tyneside Summer Festival, and Cancer Connections. He also won regional talent competitions, Open Zone Idol and Talent on the Tyne, showcasing his vocal abilities from a young age.
In January 2014, Jamie Lambert co-founded Collabro, quickly leading to their participation in the eighth series of Britain’s Got Talent. The group’s audition, featuring “Stars” from Les Misérables, garnered a standing ovation from both judges and audience, leading to their eventual victory in June 2014. Following this success, Collabro signed a record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music. Their debut album, “Stars,” released in August 2014, reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. The group continued to release successful albums, including “Act Two” (2015), “Home” (2017), “Road to the Royal Albert Hall” (2018), “Love Like This” (2019), “Christmas Is Here” (2020), and “Be Still My Soul” (2022). They embarked on multiple tours across the UK, Japan, and North America, building a dedicated fanbase known as “Collaborators.
Beyond his singing career with Collabro, which included appearances on “Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions” and “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” Jamie Lambert co-founded Lambert Jackson Productions in 2018 with Eliza Jackson. This award-winning company focuses on theatrical, concert, touring, and live event production. In 2022, Collabro announced their disbandment, concluding with a farewell tour, but reunited for an 11th Anniversary Reunion Concert in June 2025, during which they announced “The Harmonies Tour” for 2026. This trajectory highlights Lambert’s consistent dedication to both performing and producing within the musical theatre landscape.
