Jamie Little

Jamie Little was born on April 9, 1978, in South Lake Tahoe, California. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2001 with a degree in Journalism. Little began her television career in 2002, reporting on various motorsports for ESPN2 while still in college. She became known for her work in the motocross and extreme sports community as a pit reporter for ESPN’s Motoworld program and was one of the first female reporters in X Games history. Her early career also included being the first female to cover a televised Supercross and motocross event.

Little joined ESPN in 1998 and spent 13 years covering events such as the Winter X Games, Summer X Games, Indy Racing League, and NASCAR on ESPN. A significant career milestone occurred in 2004 when she became the first female pit reporter for the television broadcast of the Indianapolis 500, covering 11 consecutive Indy 500s through 2014. In 2010, she married Cody Selman and later welcomed two children. Beyond broadcasting, Little engaged in entrepreneurial ventures, owning Jimmy John’s franchises and a Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise, alongside managing a rental property in Tennessee.

In 2015, Little transitioned to Fox Sports as a pit reporter for the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series, marking her as the first female pit reporter to cover both the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500 for network TV. Her career reached a new high in 2021 when she became the lead play-by-play announcer for Fox Sports’ coverage of the ARCA Menards Series, making her the first woman in history to hold this role for a national motorsports series. In 2023, she expanded her play-by-play duties to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Little is also actively involved in animal rescue work, supporting shelters across the country.
