About

Jane Sibbett was born on November 28, 1962, in Berkeley, California, and raised on Alameda Island. She pursued her passion for the performing arts by becoming a teenage DJ and station manager at K-RAT in Sacramento, California, and made her theatrical debut at the Eagle Theater. Sibbett went on to earn a degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and honed her skills in acting, writing, and co-producing several acclaimed plays in Los Angeles.

Sibbett’s career spans over 200 television episodes and numerous film roles. She gained significant recognition for her role as Carol Willick, Ross’s lesbian ex-wife, on the NBC sitcom ‘Friends’ from 1994 to 2001, a role that contributed to a groundbreaking moment in network television with its portrayal of a lesbian wedding. Prior to this, she was known for her portrayal of Heddy Newman on the Fox comedy ‘Herman’s Head’ (1991–1994) and Clarice Kensington in the 1995 film ‘It Takes Two.’ Her early television career also included a role as Jane Wilson on the NBC soap opera ‘Santa Barbara’ (1986–1987), for which she received a nomination for a Best Newcomer Soap Opera Digest Award. Beyond her acting, Sibbett has also ventured into production, with credits including the video ‘Braco – The Golden Bridge’ (2010), the film ‘A One Time Thing’ (2004), and the video ‘Karate Kids’ (1999).

In recent years, Jane Sibbett has transitioned to working as an advocate and energy healer. This shift began after she moved to Hawaii in 2015, where she experienced a personal transformation. She founded Jane’s Dancing Hands, an organization focused on spiritual connection and supporting individuals from various backgrounds. Sibbett also served as Chairperson for the Storyteller Foundation and created an online platform, Noon Miracles, for artists, healers, and storytellers. She continues to act in selected projects, including A Wedding Wonderland (2017) and List of a Lifetime (2021).
