Jason Biggs

Jason Matthew Biggs was born on May 12, 1978, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. He began acting in commercials at the age of five and made his television debut in 1991 on the FOX sitcom ‘Drexell’s Class’. In the same year, he made his Broadway debut in ‘Conversations With My Father’ opposite Judd Hirsch. He later gained a role as Pete Wendall on the soap opera ‘As the World Turns’, earning a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Younger Actor in a Drama Series. After high school, Biggs briefly attended New York University and Montclair State University before pursuing acting full-time.

His breakthrough came in 1999 with the lead role of Jim Levenstein in the teen sex comedy ‘American Pie’, which became a significant commercial success. This role led to opportunities in films such as ‘Loser’ (2000) and ‘Boys and Girls’ (2000). He reprised his iconic role in ‘American Pie 2’ (2201), ‘American Wedding’ (2003), and ‘American Reunion’ (2012). Beyond his film work, Biggs has appeared in numerous television series, including vocal roles like Leonardo in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ (2012–2014) and a recurring role as Larry Bloom in the Netflix series ‘Orange Is the New Black’ (2013–2019).

Biggs has also taken on various stage roles, including Benjamin Braddock in the Broadway production of ‘The Graduate’ in 2002 and an Orthodox Jew in the 2004 play ‘Modern Orthodox’. His career has demonstrated a progression from comedic roles to more varied dramatic and voice acting performances. He has also ventured into production roles, serving as an executive producer for projects like ‘American Reunion’ and ‘Jason Biggs’ Cash at Your Door’. He received a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2015 for his performance as part of the ensemble cast in ‘Orange Is the New Black’.
