Jason Nolf

Jason Nolf was born on January 10, 1996, in Yatesboro, Pennsylvania. He attended Kittanning High School, where he achieved a remarkable 176-1 career record, securing three state titles at 103, 132, and 145 pounds. Excelling both academically and athletically, Nolf maintained a 4.5 GPA and was part of the cross country and track and field teams. His scholastic and athletic achievements led to his induction into the WPIAL Hall of Fame in 2022.

Nolf joined Pennsylvania State University, wrestling for the Penn State Nittany Lions. After a redshirt season in 2014-2015 where he posted a 15-1 record, he quickly made his mark. As a redshirt freshman in 2015-2016, he claimed titles at the Southern Scuffle and Nittany Lion Open, remaining undefeated in dual matches. He finished as a runner-up at both the Big Ten and NCAA Championships, earning Intermat Freshman of the Year honors with a 33-2 record. His collegiate career was marked by consistent success, culminating in three consecutive NCAA Division I national championships in 2017, 2018, and 2019, along with two Big Ten Conference titles. He finished his college wrestling career with an overall record of 133-4, recognized as one of Penn State’s most decorated wrestlers.

Following his collegiate wrestling career, Nolf transitioned to freestyle wrestling, joining the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club. He earned numerous accolades, including a gold medal at the 2020 Pan American Championships at 79 kg, and silver medals at the 2022 Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin and the 2019 Bill Farrell Memorial. He also became a two-time US National champion in 2022 and 2023 at 74 kg. In 2024, Nolf announced his retirement from competitive wrestling to focus on his business ventures, including co-founding Athletes Ocean, a sports education technology platform, and pursuing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he has made his professional grappling debut.
