The multi-talented Jeremy Davis is a musician, songwriter and producer, best known for his time as the bassist in the rock band Paramore. His runs his own record label, Post Trap Entertainment, and his debut solo album, Grand Ole Opportunity, was released in 2021.
Born and raised in Little Rock, and Franklin, Tennessee, Davis was 16 when he was playing in the funk cover band The Factory. It was there that he met Hayley Williams, and soon after joined her and brothers Josh and Zac Farro to form the band Paramore in 2004. The band signed a deal with Fueled by Ramen and released their first album, All We Know Is Falling. Davis didn’t work on that album, but did join them for their second, 2007’s Riot! He worked on their third album, Brand New Eyes, in 2009, and their fourth, 2013’s Paramore. In 2014 Davis was nominated for Best Bassist at the Alternative Press Music Awards. At the end of the year, however, Davis left the band. He started working on his own projects, which included the B.o.B song Violet Vibrato, which was released in 2015. Davis co-produced the track and also played bass on it. In 2020, he launched his own record label, Post Trap Entertainment. His debut solo album, Grand Ole Opportunity, was released in 2021.
