Jerod Mayo

Jerod Mayo, a trailblazing figure in Football, currently commands the sidelines as the head coach for the New England Patriots in the NFL. Born in Hampton, Virginia, Mayo’s journey to gridiron greatness began at Kecoughtan High School, where his talent as a linebacker first flourished. He continued to hone his skills at the University of Tennessee, emerging as a standout player for the Volunteers.

In the 2008 NFL Draft, Mayo’s exceptional abilities drew the attention of the New England Patriots, who selected him 10th overall. Thus began a storied eight-season career as a linebacker with the Patriots, marked by numerous accolades and achievements. Mayo’s impact on the field was immediate, earning him the title of NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in his inaugural season.
