Dereck Chisora

Dereck Chisora has established himself as a prominent figure in professional boxing, known for his relentless style and dedication. After securing a silver medal at the Four Nations Championships and winning the 2006 ABA super-heavyweight title, Dereck Chisora launched his professional boxing career on February 17, 2007, under Queensberry Promotions. His debut at Wembley Arena saw him achieve a second-round technical knockout victory over István Kecskés. Chisora quickly established his dominance, capturing the British heavyweight title in 2010 by defeating Danny Williams, and subsequently adding the Commonwealth heavyweight title later that year with a victory over Sam Sexton.

This rapid ascent followed a successful amateur career which included 20 fights and winning the 2005 Novice Championships. Chisora continued to challenge at the sport’s highest level, contending for the WBC heavyweight title twice: first in 2012 against Vitali Klitschko, and more recently in 2022 against Tyson Fury. He successfully captured the vacant European heavyweight title in 2013, which he held until 2014, and also secured the vacant WBA International heavyweight title by defeating Ond?ej Pála in 2013. He demonstrated his consistent performance by retaining both the WBA and WBO International heavyweight titles in 2014.

Early in 2024, he re-signed with Queensberry Promotions, marking a return to the promotional banner that launched his professional career. Dereck Chisora maintains his active presence in major fights and continues to be a highly recognizable and engaging personality within the heavyweight boxing landscape, expressing an aspiration to complete 50 professional bouts before concluding his celebrated career.
