Jerome d’Ambrosio has transitioned from a accomplished racing driver to a prominent motorsport executive, now applying his deep understanding of performance and strategy to leadership roles within elite racing teams. After winning the Belgian Formula Renault championship in 2003, Jerome d’Ambrosio cemented his status as a formidable talent, building on a decorated junior career that included three Belgian karting championships, a Junior Monaco Kart Cup title in 2000, and the prestigious World Cup Formula A championship in 2002. His rapid ascent continued with a dominant season as the International Formula Master champion in 2007, followed by a strong showing as runner-up in GP2 Asia in 2009. d’Ambrosio further proved his prowess in single-seater racing by securing a race victory in the highly competitive GP2 Series at Monaco in 2010, which led to a test driver position with the Virgin Racing Formula 1 team.

Under his guidance, Venturi Racing experienced significant success, achieving an impressive ten podium finishes in just 16 races and securing a commendable second-place finish in the championship standings, showcasing his capability to translate driver success into team leadership. In 2023, d’Ambrosio was recruited by the Mercedes F1 Team, taking on the pivotal role of Driver Development Director. In this capacity, he worked closely with Team Principal Toto Wolff, overseeing and nurturing Mercedes’ young drivers across various global motorsport categories.
