Jess Q. Harnell is a singer and voice actor from the United States. He played Wakko Warner in Animaniacs and Crash Bandicoot in the Crash Bandicoot video game franchise. Since 1998, Harnell has also served as the announcer for America’s Funniest Home Videos. He was Buster’s singing voice in Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure in 2001. He also does the voices of Wooton Bassett and Bennett Charles in the radio drama Adventures in Odyssey, as well as performing the lead part of Finnian Jones for the Lamplighter Theatre Radio Drama.
On Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, Harnell also makes an appearance. His voice was heard in NASCAR Rumble, and he is credited with providing in-game commentary in Rumble Racing. During season 3 of The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper, Jess took over as Fatso’s voice from Brad Garrett. Harnell played Ricky in the 2004 film Comic Book: The Movie, which he co-produced with Billy West, Mark Hamill, Eric Mittleman, Scott Zakarin, and Roger Rose. He worked as a voice director on Pet Alien in 2006. In Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, he took over for Neil Flynn as The Plumber. In that popular series, he also voiced the Smuggler.
In the same year, Harnell portrayed Ironhide and Barricade in Michael Bay’s Transformers, making him the only voice actor in the film to play both an Autobot (Ironhide) and a Decepticon (Barricade). In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon, he reprised his role as Ironhide, as well as Barricade in Transformers: The Last Knight. From 2013 through 2018, Harnell also provided the voice and singing voice of antagonist Cedric the Sorcerer in Sofia the First.
