Jill Wagner

Born on January 13, 1979, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Jill Wagner was primarily raised by her father, a former U.S. Marine, and her grandmother, which instilled in her a strong value system. She pursued higher education at North Carolina State University, graduating cum laude in 2001 with a degree in business management. Following her graduation, Wagner relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. Her early career included a notable appearance in 2003 as a cast member on MTV’s series “Punk’d,” where she participated in various sketches.

Wagner’s career progression expanded into acting roles across different genres. In 2006, she co-starred in the Spike TV series “Blade: The Series” as Krista Starr. She also appeared in the film “Splinter” in 2008 and had guest roles in television series such as “Monk” and “Bones.” A significant turning point in her career was becoming the on-field host for ABC’s game show “Wipeout,” which premiered in 2008. She hosted for four seasons, left briefly, and returned for the sixth and seventh seasons, becoming a fan favorite known for her ability to maintain composure amidst the show’s comedic obstacles.

In recent years, Wagner has been a prominent figure on The Hallmark Channel and Great American Family, starring in numerous made-for-television films. Her roles in these movies, including the “Mystery 101” series on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, have garnered high ratings and expanded her audience. She is executive producer and actress in the new female-led series, “Special Ops: Lioness,” teaming up with co-star and executive producer Zoe Saldana and Oscar winning actress and executive producer Nicole Kidman. Beyond her on-screen work, Wagner is actively involved in philanthropic efforts, particularly with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through her charity, “Jill’s Closet for a Cure,” and supports military veterans, often traveling to meet troops in various parts of the world.
