Jillea’s career began to take shape with her musical talent, leading to significant recognition in the Canadian music scene. In 2013, she won Slaight Music’s “It’s Your Shot” songwriting and artist development competition. This achievement marked the beginning of her musical journey, during which she released tracks such as the ballad “Shattered” and “Drive Slow.” Her musical accomplishments led to various high-profile appearances, including performances at We Day(s), co-hosting the iHeartRadio MMVA Red Carpet, and participation in Canadian Music Week (CMW). She also received a Canadian Screen Award nomination, demonstrating her early impact in the entertainment industry.
