Jimmi Simpson is an American actor known for his versatile performances in film, television, and theatre, spanning a career of over two decades. After making his film debut in the 2000 teen comedy Loser, Jimmi Simpson quickly established himself as a versatile actor across film, television, and theatre. His early screen career included appearances in acclaimed series such as 24, NYPD Blue, and Cold Case, alongside a memorable recurring role as Liam McPoyle in FX’s long-running hit It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, a character he portrayed from 2005 through 2023. Prior to his screen work, Simpson honed his craft, earning a Bachelor of Arts in theater from Bloomsburg University and performing for four seasons at the prestigious Williamstown Theatre Festival.
