Jirayu Tangsrisuk, born on September 19, 1993, in Phichit, Thailand, is an actor, singer, and model. He is also known as James Jirayu or James Ji. Tangsrisuk is the youngest child of Sermchai and Shotika Tangsrisuk. His parents named him James after the character James Bond. He attended Phichit Phitthakhom School, where he was also a territorial defense student. He initially studied Communication Arts at Rangsit University, later transferring to Business Administration, specializing in Retail Business Management, and completed his degree in December 2017. His early talents included dancing, singing, and playing bass in a high school band. In 2011, he won a modeling contest for the cosmetics brand Mistine, marking his entry into the entertainment industry. In April 2012, talent manager Charnchalard Dhaweesap discovered him on Facebook and scouted him, leading to his professional career.
Tangsrisuk debuted in the 2013 lakorn (Thai television soap opera) “Khun Chai Puttipat” and made his film debut in “First Love” the same year. This led to his recognition as a prominent actor. His career progression includes notable roles in “Timeline” (2014) and “The One in My Heart” (2015). By late 2015, he undertook martial arts training at Johnny Tri Nguyen’s Lien Phong Academy in Vietnam for his role in “Padiwaradda (The Loyal Wife),” which featured numerous action sequences. This preparation highlighted his commitment to his craft. He began filming for “Nueng Dao Fa Diao (Underneath The Same Sky)” and “Game Sanaeha (Game of Affection)” in 2016, starring alongside Natapohn Tameeruks. In March 2021, he released his first mini music album, titled “See More.” His ongoing work includes upcoming projects such as “My Sassy Wedding” (2025) and “Tha Rae: The Exorcist” (2025), which is slated to be his first horror film.
Throughout his career, Tangsrisuk has achieved significant milestones, including being ranked among the top highest-paid actors in Thailand. In 2017, he was listed as the 3rd highest-paid actor, moving up to 2nd place by April 2018. He has also expanded his presence internationally, appearing at events such as Yohji Yamamoto’s Autumn-Winter Paris Men’s Collection in 2016–17 and the 22nd Tokyo Girls Collection 2016 Spring/Summer. In June 2016, he released his first CD and photo album, “Kimi Dake I Love You,” in Japan, for which he personally took the photographs. His diverse portfolio demonstrates his versatility as an entertainer, spanning television, film, music, and modeling.
