Joseph W. Pace II, born on October 20, 1965, in Homestead, Florida, is a Grammy, Dove, and Stellar Award-nominated songwriter, producer, artist, director, and author. With over 30 years in the gospel music industry, Pace has achieved significant success, including more than 500,000 career album sales across 20 full-length projects. His focus on church-suitable worship and production style has solidified his position. Pace began his music career in 1996 with the Colorado Mass Choir, which he also directed as CEO. The choir, formed in 1995 from a community-wide choral workshop in Colorado Springs, comprised over 60 members from 35 different churches.
Pace has released 14 albums, with 11 of these charting on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. Notable album releases include “Watch God Move” (1997) with Zomba Records, “So Good!” (1998) with Verity Records, and “Joe Pace Presents: Let There Be Praise” (2001) released through a partnership with Word Records, Epic Records, and Integrity Music. His albums like “Glad About It” (2001) and “Joe Pace Presents: Shake the Foundation” (2002) also achieved top 10 positions on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. His work has earned him the Stellar Award for New Artist of the Year in 1997 with The Colorado Mass Choir, and nominations for Grammy and Dove Awards.
Beyond his musical achievements, Joe Pace is an ordained minister, holding an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Aenon Bible College. He served as Director/CEO of the Colorado Mass Choir and as CEO and President of The PACE Group, a multi-faceted music ministry corporation. Pace currently acts as the Executive Pastor and Pastor of Worship & Community Engagement at Christ Church Chicago, maintaining over 30 years of experience in various church music and pastoral ministries. In November 2022, Pace released the single “All Things Are Working,” continuing his musical contributions.
