He further expanded his experience across various sports and leagues as a play-by-play announcer for the UCLA Bruins radio broadcasts from 1985 to 1989 and for the Los Angeles Dodgers telecasts from 1990 to 1991.
Meyers’ career progressed to include significant roles in professional basketball and football. He joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2003 as their radio voice, transitioning to television play-by-play announcer in 2005, a role he held until 2011. Since 2012, Meyers has been the television play-by-play announcer for the New Orleans Pelicans.
