Three-time Emmy Award winner Joel Meyers has established a distinguished career spanning over four decades in sports broadcasting, currently serving as the television play-by-play announcer for the New Orleans Pelicans and lead host on SiriusXM NBA Radio. Meyers’ extensive career began as the public address announcer for the St. Louis Cardinals (1980-1982), a period that notably included a World Series championship for the team. He expanded his early broadcast experience as the radio play-by-play announcer for the UCLA Bruins (1985-1989), followed by a telecast announcer role for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1990-1991).

His lasting impact on the Southern California sports landscape was recognized with his induction into the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. Following the Lakers, Meyers took on lead play-by-play duties for the New Orleans Pelicans television broadcasts, a role he has held since 2012.
