Prolific voice actor John DiMaggio has featured in numerous television and film projects over the years. Perhaps best known as the man behind the rude, cigar-chewing, alcoholic robot Bender in the cult classic Futurama, his work speaks for itself. The New Jersey native has breathed life into some of the most recognisable characters, such as Jake the Dog in Adventure Time and King Zog, Guard and Deer, to name a few from Disenchantment. Whether it’s sci-fi, fantasy, drama or comedy, DiMaggio has perfected his craft and breathes life into every role he plays.
Over the years, DiMaggio has earned numerous awards and accolades. His growing collection of Behind the Voice Actors Awards includes Best Vocal Ensemble for Samurai Jack and Niko and the Sword of Life, The Loud House and Batman: Assault on Arkham. From earning a Kids’ Choice Award for playing Rico in Madagascar the series to a NAVGTR Performance in a Comedy Lead Award for Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, DiMaggio is considered one of the most respected voice artists in the industry. With a background in stand-up comedy with Red Johnny and the Round Guy, DiMaggio’s incredible versatility shines throughout his work.
