John Eric Bentley is an actor and voice artist, best known for his role in Resident Evil: Extinction and Final Fantasy VII. He has also appeared as a voice artist in a number of other popular games, including The Last of Us and Call of Duty, meaning his voice is well recognised in the gaming community.
Bentley began his career back in 1979, taking on some small roles in TV shows and TV movies. His first big break was as a voice artist in the popular anime, Sailor Moon, where he played the voice of Tiger’s Eye. Since then, he’s performed in a massive total of over a hundred and eighty credited roles. He flits easily between live action productions and voice overs for animated shows.
Bentley has appeared in some pretty huge TV shows, including Fear The Walking Dead and the Marvel Disk Wars series. However, his forte is now voice overs for video games. He’s been in some of the biggest games around, including Halo 5, Fallout 76 and Read Dead Redemption II. Though his face isn’t often seen on your screens, he does a lot of background work for some of the best-loved games of the century.
Bentley has a relatively small social media following with only a few thousand followers on Instagram, but he uses his platform to showcase his work and talk about upcoming career events.
