Walker Johnny da Silva Barra Souza, also known as Johnny Walker, is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Light Heavyweight division. He’s been a professional fighter since 2013, and he got his start in the UFC by competing on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. He’s also fought for Jungle Fight in his home country of Brazil. He was ranked #10 in the UFC Light Heavyweight division as of March 1, 2021.
Walker debuted in professional mixed martial arts in December of 2013. He fought in his native Brazil for the next four years, earning a record of 10 wins and three defeats, with all of his victories coming by stoppage. On November 17, 2018, at UFC Fight Night 140, Walker made his UFC promotional debut against Khalil Rountree Jr, knocking out his opponent in the first round. Walker earned his first Performance of the Night bonus award as a result of his victory. Walker’s next fight was at UFC Fight Night 144 on February 2, 2019, against Justin Ledet. He knocked out his opponent 15 seconds into the first round. Walker earned his second consecutive bonus award for Performance of the Night as a result of his victory. Walker was supposed to fight Ryan Spann on September 5, 2020, at UFC Fight Night 176. Walker, however, tested positive for COVID-19, and the fight was rescheduled for UFC Fight Night 178 on September 19, 2020. Walker won the fight by knockout in the first round after being knocked down twice by Spann.
