Arda Guler was born on February 25, 2005, in Ankara, Turkey. He began his youth football career at Gençlerbirliği in 2014. At the age of 13, he was discovered by Fenerbahçe and joined their youth system in 2019. During his time in Fenerbahçe’s youth teams, including U-15, U-16, and U-19, he demonstrated notable talent, contributing 7 goals and 4 assists in 18 matches for the U-19 team. His performance in the U-19 Play-Off quarterfinal, where he scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist, further highlighted his potential.
Guler signed a professional contract with Fenerbahçe in January 2021. He made his senior debut for Fenerbahçe in August 2021 in a UEFA Europa League play-off match. Three days later, he recorded an assist in his first Süper Lig match. As he gained more playing time, Guler became Fenerbahçe’s youngest goalscorer in Süper Lig history in March 2022, shortly after turning 17. In the 2022–2023 season, he was assigned the number 10 jersey, a significant recognition for a player of his age. He scored his first European goal in the Europa League group stage in November 2022 and delivered a man-of-the-match performance in Fenerbahçe’s 2-0 victory in the 2023 Turkish Cup final. His tenure with Fenerbahçe ended in July 2023.
In July 2023, Guler transferred to Real Madrid, signing a six-year contract. He debuted for Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey in January 2024 and secured his first trophy with the club, the Supercopa de España, shortly thereafter. He made his La Liga debut later that month and scored his first league goal for Real Madrid in March 2024. In April 2024, he scored his first La Liga goal as a starter, contributing to a 1-0 win against Real Sociedad. May 2024 saw him score a brace against Villarreal, becoming the fastest Real Madrid player to achieve six La Liga goals in limited playing time. He won the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid in his first season. In the 2024–2025 season, he made his Champions League debut and later that year, under new head coach Xabi Alonso, he started featuring more regularly in midfield. His performances earned him the LaLiga U23 Player of the Month award for September 2025.
