The dashingly handsome Jon Hamm is a superb, award-winning actor, producer, and director, best known for his role as Don Draper in the hit TV series, Mad Men, and for the films The Town, and Baby Driver. His performance in Mad Men earned him critical praise and recognition, as well as a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series in 2008, and 2016, and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2015.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Hamm became interested in acting at school. He continued to study the craft while taking English at the University of Missouri. After graduating, he taught drama, before moving to Hollywood to pursue his acting career. He struggled to find acting jobs for three years and gave himself a deadline that he would quit and return home if his career didn’t take off by the time he was 30. He worked as a waiter and a set-designer, and finally got a break in 2000 when he was cast in the NBC drama series, Providence. He was 29. The same year he landed his feature film debut, with a small part in Clint Eastwood’s Space Cowboys. Since then his career has flourished, and he has gone on to appear in countless TV productions, including A Young Doctor’s Notebook, Black Mirror, Good Omens, and Mad Men. He is also known for his comedic roles and has appeared in many sitcoms, including Parks and Recreation, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and 30 Rock. His film career has seen him act alongside many big names including Keanu Reeves in 2015’s The Day the Earth Stood Still, Ben Affleck in 2010’s The Town, Kristen Wiig in 2011’s Bridesmaids, and Kevin Spacey in 2017’s Baby Driver. He has also voiced for the animated movies Shrek Forever After, and Minions.
