Jordan Elliott was born on November 23, 1997, in Missouri City, Texas. He attended Westside High School in Houston, Texas, and participated in the 2016 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Elliott began his collegiate football career at the University of Texas at Austin, playing in six games during his freshman season and recording eight tackles. In 2017, he transferred to the University of Missouri, where he sat out one season due to NCAA transfer rules. Over the next two years at Missouri, from 2017 to 2019, he accumulated 68 tackles and 5.5 sacks, earning First-team All-SEC honors in 2019. Following his impactful college career, Elliott declared for the NFL Draft.
Elliott was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round as the 88th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He signed his rookie contract on July 2, 2020. During his initial two seasons with the Browns (2020-2021), he served in a rotational capacity. He transitioned into a full-time starter for the 2022 and 2023 seasons, contributing significantly to the Browns’ defensive line. In 2022, he started all 17 games, recording 36 combined tackles and 2.0 sacks. In 2023, he started 14 games, achieving 21 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks.
On March 14, 2024, Jordan Elliott signed a two-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. With the 49ers, his role on the team expanded, particularly due to injuries to teammates Kevin Givens and Javon Hargrave. In 2024, he played in 15 games, starting 13, and recorded 19 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 2 quarterback hits. He managed to return from a knee injury in October and a concussion in November to complete the season.
