Jordan Jay Lawrence-Gabriel was born on September 25, 1998, in London, England. His football journey began in the Arsenal Academy, which he left at age 14. He subsequently joined Southend United before moving to the Nottingham Forest academy in February 2015. Gabriel signed professional terms with Nottingham Forest in January 2016. He made his professional debut on September 24, 2019, appearing as a substitute in an EFL Cup match against Arsenal. He continued to develop his career, signing a new contract with Forest in February 2020.
In October 2020, Gabriel joined Blackpool on loan, where he scored his first career goal in an FA Cup match in November of the same year. He contributed to Blackpool’s successful 2020–21 season, which saw them qualify for the League One play-offs and secure promotion to the Championship. In August 2021, Gabriel made a permanent move to Blackpool on a four-year deal. During his time at Blackpool, he was recognized as the PFA community champion for his involvement in charitable causes. He faced challenges such as a torn meniscus in October 2022 and another serious knee injury in March 2023, requiring six months for recovery.
In May 2025, Jordan Gabriel joined Port Vale, a newly-promoted League One club, on a two-year deal after his departure from Blackpool. He plays primarily as a right-back, but can also operate as a left-back or on the right side of a back three. He is known for his attacking style as a full-back, utilizing his pace to advance and deliver crosses.
