The incredible athlete Jordan Hasay is best known for running the 3rd fastest marathon in American History. She is currently coached by the 3-time London marathon and New York marathon champion and former world record holder in the marathon, Paula Radcliffe.
Hasay grew up in Arroyo Grande, California, and began running at a young age. She was unanimously selected 2008 Girls High School Athlete of the Year by the voting panel at Track and Field News. During High School she was two-time Footlocker national cross country champion, 8-time CA State champion, and achieved High School national records in the 1500m, and 3200m runs, the former in which she set while qualifying for the finals of the 2008 Olympic Trials. She attended the University of Oregon to study business administration, and competed in their cross country and track and field teams. She earned 18 All-American honors, 2011 mile and 3000m NCAA titles. She signed with Nike upon graduation in 2013, and went onto compete in the 2013 World track and field Championships in the 10k. Hasay made her debut in the marathon in the 2017 Boston marathon, finishing 3rd and marking the fastest marathon debut by an American female in a time of 2:23:00. She went on to run the second fastest American marathon time ever and fastest time ever recorded on US soil at the 2017 Chicago marathon where she also finished 3rd in 2:20:57. Following a year in which she was sidelined by injury, she returned to competition with a 3rd place in the 2019 Boston marathon.
