Jordan Johnson transitioned from a decorated collegiate wrestler to a professional mixed martial artist, competing in major organizations like the UFC and PFL. After a decorated collegiate wrestling career that included two University Nationals All-American titles in freestyle wrestling and a 25-11 record at the University of Iowa, Jordan Johnson seamlessly transitioned to professional mixed martial arts. His wrestling prowess was evident early on, achieving the Illinois High School State Wrestling Champion title during his junior year and later securing 3rd place in the Iowa state tournament. Johnson launched his amateur MMA career in 2013 as a Heavyweight, compiling an undefeated 3-0 record.

He then turned professional in 2014, continuing his unbeaten streak to an impressive 6-0, ultimately becoming the final RFA Light Heavyweight Champion in 2016. This significant success propelled Johnson to sign with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in January 2017, marking his entry into the sport’s premier organization. During his tenure with the UFC, Johnson demonstrated his formidable skills with several key victories. He earned unanimous decision wins against Henrique da Silva in 2017 and Marcel Fortuna, also in 2017, showcasing his strategic dominance.
