Sijara Jihan Eubanks, born on April 27, 1985, in Springfield, Massachusetts, embarked on her combat sports journey in 2008 by training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Her dedication quickly led to significant achievements in grappling, including winning the Women’s No-Gi Advanced Absolute division in the 2011 Grapplers Quest World Championship Finals and securing an IBJJF World Championship as a brown belt in 2014. These early successes laid a strong foundation for her transition into mixed martial arts.

Eubanks made her professional MMA debut in April 2015 with Invicta FC, where she began building her fighting record. A pivotal point in her career came with her participation in The Ultimate Fighter 26 in 2017, a tournament set to crown the UFC’s inaugural Women’s Flyweight Champion. During her time on the show, she showcased her grappling and striking abilities, achieving a submission victory over Maia Stevenson and a knockout against DeAnna Bennett, ultimately reaching the semifinals before earning a unanimous decision win over Roxanne Modafferi.

Her official UFC debut occurred in June 2018, where she secured a unanimous decision victory against Lauren Murphy.
