American basketball ace Jordan Poole is a player in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Golden State Warriors. The 6ft 4in shooting guard rose to prominence after he helped his college team the Michigan Wolverines advance to the Sweet Sixteen round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament in 2018 after his buzzer beater, game-winning three-point shot. Now with an improved ability to create on his own and a recent huge increase in confidence, Poole scored more total points in the 2021 preseason than any other player in the NBA, and it looks as though the Warriors have landed themselves a future basketball superstar.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Poole went to the local school, Rufus King High School in his junior year before transferring to La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana to play his senior season. As a junior he was first team All-Wisconsin selection and as a senior won the 2017 Dick’s National High School Championship.
Poole enjoyed a stand-out career at Michigan, and saw a huge jump in playing time during his years at the college. Drafted by the Gold State Warriors 28th overall in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft, he has begun to show that he can be an explosive slasher, and as he improves his three-point accuracy Poole is undoubtedly on the verge of basketball superstardom.
