Joshua Patrick Allen was born on May 21, 1996. He experienced a challenging path to the NFL, initially receiving no NCAA Division I scholarship offers out of Firebaugh High School. Demonstrating resilience, Allen attended Reedley College, a junior college, before transferring to the University of Wyoming. At Wyoming, his strong arm and athletic potential attracted NFL scouts, leading to his selection as the seventh overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Allen’s professional career saw significant progression. After initial struggles with consistency, he had a breakout season in 2020, leading the Bills to their first division title since 1995 and an AFC Championship Game appearance.
