Santia Deck was born on November 19, 1991, in Greenville, South Carolina, and raised in Houston, Texas. Her athletic journey began at age seven when she enrolled in a summer track program. This early experience set the foundation for a distinguished collegiate career, earning a full track and field scholarship to Texas A&M University–Kingsville, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature. Deck later gained prominence as a fitness trainer, accumulating a substantial online following through her workout content and flag football demonstrations.
In 2017, Deck joined the Legends Football League (LFL), further establishing her presence in competitive sports. A significant turning point came in December 2019 when she signed a groundbreaking contract with the Women’s Football League Association (WFLA), which, at the time, positioned her to be the highest-paid female Football player. Although the WFLA ultimately did not launch, Deck’s ambition remained undeterred. In July 2020, she founded TRONUS, her own sneaker company, making her the first Black woman athlete to own a sneaker enterprise. Beyond her athletic and entrepreneurial endeavors, Deck is recognized as the ‘Queen of Abs’ and has hosted her own television talk show, ‘Queen of Abs Fitness.’ She has also made appearances on shows such as ‘Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Ranch’ and ‘Blind Date.’
Transitioning to tackle football, Deck made her debut in the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC) on April 2, 2022, playing for the Atlanta Phoenix against the Alabama Fire. This move showcased her commitment to competitive sports and her ability to adapt across various athletic disciplines. Her diverse career path highlights a consistent drive for achievement, whether on the field, in business, or through media engagements.
