Joshua Bassett is an actor and singer from the United States. Bassett’s first significant part was in the Disney Channel television series Stuck in the Middle, where he played Aidan Peters. He is most recognized for his portrayal of Ricky Bowen in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The series follows a group of adolescent theater aficionados as they take part in a school production of High School Musical: The Musical. Olivia Rodrigo, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Frankie Rodriguez, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Kate Reinders, and Joe Serafini are among the cast members of the show. For the series’ soundtrack, Bassett co-wrote “Just for a Moment” with co-star Olivia Rodrigo. The duo also released the singles “I Think I Kinda, You Know” and “Even When/The Best Part.”

In April 2020, he published his first single, “Common Sense,” on music platforms. Later that year, he released his second song, “Anyone Else.” On March 12, 2021, Bassett launched his self-titled first EP, which included the single “Lie Lie Lie.” “Only a Matter of Time,” “Telling Myself,” and “Feeling Something” were among the other songs on the album. Bassett released a trio of tracks in late 2021, titled “Set Me Free,” “Crisis,” and “Secret.” Bassett sings and plays piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, and drums, among other instruments.

He has been on television in shows such as Lethal Weapon, Dirty John, Stuck in the Middle, Grey’s Anatomy, and Nickelodeon’s Unfiltered. On the big screen, he played Anthony Foster in the 2020 film Better Nate Than Ever. On stage, he played Calvin Berger in a Hollywood production.
