Joshua Castille is a deaf performance artist, currently residing in Los Angeles, California. Castille has pushed back the boundaries of art, working in a variety of different roles over his outstanding career.
Castille began studying at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, but was soon recruited to work in California with the Deaf West Theatre Company. Here, Castille was part of the cast of the revival of the show at Spring awakening.
This proved to be an important insight into theatrical productions, particularly as Castille was part of its fruitful run in Beverly Hills, before the show was moved to Broadway. This enabled Castille to build an industry network, and he began his career in the performing arts.
From this point on, Castille has built up dozens of credits in a wide variety of theatre productions. He has appeared everywhere from Broadway to the Tony awards stage. And he has also starred in commercials, short films, and music videos, while making cameo appearances on TV shows and network programming.
As a recording artist, he has worked alongside other household names and talented performers, such as BD Wong, Marlee Matlin, Camryn Manheim, Jules Dameron, Russell Harvard, Michael Arden, American Authors, Ingrid Michaelson, and Andrew Keegan-Bolger.
Castille has achieved a huge amount in his fledgeling career, but many people who rate the work of these talented deaf performance artist believe that the best is still to come.
