Justin Inacio was born on November 6, 1998, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and began playing lacrosse at the age of four. He attended The Hill Academy, a notable institution for aspiring lacrosse players. Inacio’s athletic potential earned him a scholarship to Ohio State University, making him the first in his family to attend college. At Ohio State, he pursued a degree in biology and a minor in business, with aspirations of a medical career. He excelled in collegiate lacrosse, leading all freshmen nationally in faceoff win percentage in 2018 and becoming Ohio State’s all-time leader in ground balls with 357.
Inacio’s professional career includes playing as a faceoff specialist for the Archers Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and as a defenceman for the Calgary Roughnecks in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). He was drafted 10th overall by the Calgary Roughnecks in the 2021 NLL Entry Draft and 18th overall by the Archers Lacrosse Club in the 2022 PLL College Draft. A knee injury prevented him from playing with the Roughnecks in the 2022 season, but he returned to the field for the 2025 season. His career highlights include a PLL Championship in 2023 and being named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2018 at Ohio State.
Beyond his sports career, Inacio has demonstrated an interest in entrepreneurship and technology, developing a lacrosse-specific app called REPS.
