Karl Glusman

Karl Glusman was born on January 3, 1988, in The Bronx, New York City. His family relocated to the Portland, Oregon area when he was six months old. He attended Lake Oswego High School and briefly enrolled at Portland State University before pursuing acting studies at the Portland Actors Conservatory and the William Esper Studio in New York City. His early career included appearing in a television commercial for Adidas. This background provided him with a foundational understanding of acting techniques and the industry.

Glusman gained international recognition for his lead role as Murphy in Gaspar Noé’s controversial drama, “Love” (2015), which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. This film, notable for its explicit content, brought him significant attention. Following this, he worked with film director and fashion designer Tom Ford in “Nocturnal Animals” (2016) and appeared in Nicolas Winding Refn’s thriller “The Neon Demon” (2016). These roles demonstrated his versatility and ability to work on projects with established directors. In 2020, he featured alongside Tom Hanks in Aaron Schneider’s “Greyhound,” further broadening his experience in larger-scale productions.
