Karl Krause & Daan Colijn

In May 2022, Karl Krause and Daan Colijn published their acclaimed debut book, ‘Couple of Men – Ein Männerpaar reist um die Welt’ (‘A Couple of Men – Traveling Around the World’), a landmark publication by Polyglott, a major German travel and lifestyle publisher. This book was notably the first German-speaking travel book by and for the LGBTQ+ Community, detailing their personal story, the unique challenges faced by queer travelers, and their extensive experiences exploring the globe. As German-Dutch gay travel bloggers and authors, Krause and Colijn have dedicated over a decade to global explorations, documenting their journeys across more than 50 countries on five continents. Their platform, ‘Couple of Men’, which evolved from Karl’s earlier blog ‘Karlisworld’, serves as a vital resource for LGBTQ-inclusive travel and storytelling, inspiring diverse audiences with inclusive guides and narratives.
