Meet Addison Rose Vincent, a dynamic 28-year-old force based in Los Angeles, who wears multiple hats as a business owner, consultant, educator, trainer, and activist. Addison, who uses they/them pronouns, is dedicated to creating empowering and affirming spaces for marginalized communities while fostering connections between people and organizations.
Originally from Canada and raised in Michigan, Addison made the life-changing move to California in 2010 to embrace their authentic self. In 2013, they gained national attention as the first openly transgender participant in Chapman University’s sorority rush process. The following year, Addison made history again as the first openly transgender candidate in the Delta Queen pageant, earning the title of Miss Congeniality.
After graduating from Chapman in 2015 with a BA in Peace Studies, Addison embarked on a journey of advocacy, working with prominent LGBTQ+ organizations such as the Victory Fund, Los Angeles LGBT Center, Strength United, TransLatin@ Coalition, Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team, and the Nonbinary & Intersex Recognition Project.
Currently serving as the Founder & CEO of Break The Binary, Addison’s consulting firm offers DEI and LGBTQ+ training and support services globally. Their mission is to break down barriers, challenge norms, and build a more inclusive world, one organization, school, or business at a time.
