About

Katie Leigh, born on December 16, 1958, in Carmel, California, established herself as a versatile voice actress with a career spanning decades. Her journey into voice acting began after moving to San Francisco for school, where she connected with Lucille Bliss, the voice of Smurfette, who recognized her talent. Leigh secured representation in Los Angeles shortly after, giving herself a two-year timeline to succeed, a goal she quickly surpassed. Her consistent work includes voicing Connie Kendall in the radio program “Adventures in Odyssey” since 1987, a role she has maintained for over 35 years. She has also contributed to popular animated series such as “Muppet Babies,” “Adventures of the Gummi Bears,” “Dungeons & Dragons,” and “Darkwing Duck,” voicing characters like Rowlf, Sunni Gummi, Sheila the Thief, and Honker Muddlefoot, respectively.

Will Ryan, born William Ryan on May 21, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, was an American voice actor, musician, and singer. He started his musical career in 1966 with the band Wead and later formed the duo Willio and Phillio with Phil Baron in the late 1970s. This partnership later extended to voice acting, with Ryan voicing Grubby to Baron’s Teddy Ruxpin in “The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin” and its accompanying book and tape series. Ryan made significant contributions to Disney projects, providing the voices of Rabbit and Tigger and the singing voice of Eeyore in “Welcome to Pooh Corner.” He also voiced Barnaby the Dog in “Dumbo’s Circus,” Petrie in “The Land Before Time” (1988), and Eugene Meltsner in “Adventures in Odyssey” from 1987 until his passing in 2021. His extensive filmography includes roles in “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” “An American Tail,” and “The Little Mermaid.

Leigh and Ryan’s collaborative history is notable, particularly their long-standing work on “Adventures in Odyssey” and their co-hosting of the YouTube web series “Tell Ya Later,” which began in 2021. They also co-authored the book “Adventures in Oddity.” Ryan’s career was marked by his diverse vocal range, creating over 100 individual characters in “Adventures in Odyssey” alone, in addition to his musical endeavors. Leigh continues to work as a voice actress, coach, and director, with directing credits including “Chi Chi Love” (2019-2021) and “Cry Babies Magic Tears” (2018). Ryan passed away on November 19, 2021, at the age of 72, due to pancreatic cancer, leaving behind a legacy of iconic voice work.
