Keenan Te developed a passion for music from an early age, exhibiting an interest in performing for his family at approximately three years old. His parents supported this interest by enrolling him in piano, guitar, and singing lessons starting at age seven, providing a foundational education in music. This early exposure and consistent engagement with musical instruments and vocal training laid the groundwork for his future artistic pursuits.

Te’s career gained significant momentum in early 2020 with his strategic engagement on TikTok, where he began uploading singing videos. This initiative proved successful, with several videos quickly achieving viral status. This period marked a turning point, transforming social media from a casual platform into a business project aimed at establishing a music career. In April 2021, he released his song ‘Dependent,’ which unexpectedly went viral on TikTok and subsequently charted in over 10 countries, including reaching the number one position in Indonesia. This success transitioned his music endeavors into a full-time career.

Since then, Te has sustained his presence in the music industry, using social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where he has accumulated nearly two million followers combined, to connect with fans and promote his music. His content, often characterized by raw and candid car performances, demonstrates a meticulous approach to planning and execution, including multiple takes to achieve desired outcomes. He has engaged in various projects, including songwriting sessions and music video shoots in Los Angeles, and has plans for regular music releases, including an upcoming EP and future albums, alongside touring to engage with his global fanbase.
