Kent F. Moors was born on September 17, 1948. He is the Founder and President of ASIDA, Inc., a global consulting and analytical firm focused on providing tailored intelligence and support to clients. Over nearly five decades, Dr. Moors has built three parallel careers: a globally recognized expert in political and energy risk assessment, a scholar and academic, and a counterintelligence officer and troubleshooter. His extensive background provides a comprehensive perspective on global dynamics.
Dr. Moors’ professional intelligence career began with the U.S. Department of State during the Vietnam War. He has continued to serve for over 45 years in various specialized counterintelligence operations worldwide. He previously held academic positions as a Professor in the Department of Political Science and the Graduate Center for Social and Public Policy at Duquesne University, where he also served as Scholar in Residence at the Institute for Energy and the Environment. He later left these university roles to lead the Global Energy Symposium (GES) as its Executive Chair. Dr. Moors has advised 31 world governments and provided consultancy services to private companies, financial institutions, civic movements, and law firms across 34 countries.
In addition to his global advisory roles, Dr. Moors provides daily advisories to individual investor subscribers and international private investment groups. He authors the twice-weekly ‘Classified Intelligence Brief’ (CIB), which includes the popular ‘Spy Tales’ series, drawing lessons from his counterintelligence activities. Dr. Moors has been featured as a commentator on television, radio, and media over 2,400 times in North America, Europe, Asia, and Russia. He has authored over 3,600 professional and market publications and delivered over 750 private and public sector presentations and workshops across 48 countries. He also founded and edits ‘The Oil and Energy Investor,’ ‘Energy Advantage,’ and ‘Micro Energy Trader,’ which collectively serve over 850,000 subscribers.
