Glynis Albright has transformed her culinary passion into a nationally recognized brand, known for her 'America's Waffle Queen' title and a commitment to healthy eating through Glynis' Kitchen. She specializes in creating healthy food products and is an advocate for nutritional empowerment.
Glynis Albright, the world renowned Waffle Queen, partnered with Amazon to meet the substantial shipping demands for her popular products, enabling broader distribution.
Glynis Albright signed with LGlobal, a marketing/growth strategist firm, to re-brand as Glynis' Kitchen and develop tools for taking the brand to the next level, including a new website, appearances on cruises, and in restaurants and hotels.
Glynis Albright developed an early interest in cooking and baking, preparing meals and desserts from the age of 10. While attending college, she began making waffles, pancakes, and crepes for friends. After marrying her junior high school sweetheart, Gerald Albright, she continued to refine her waffle recipes. The couple often consumed waffles for dinner due to budget constraints during their early marriage. By 2008, Mrs. Albright’s cooking attracted a diverse group of guests, including family, friends, celebrities, and government officials, who visited her home to experience her fried chicken and waffles.
In 1993, Mrs. Albright received a diagnosis of a rare blood disease, which led to several years of therapy and surgeries. This experience significantly influenced her focus on nutrition and health. Following her recovery, she launched ‘Just Sweet Enough’ in 1994, specializing in reduced sugar, low fat, and low sodium desserts. This was followed by “Albright Cuisine” and “Cookie Dots,” both centered on health-conscious foods. Her commitment to wellness led her to obtain a certificate in nutritional therapy with an emphasis on enzymology from the Institute for Alternative Medicine.
By 2017, the demand for her culinary creations prompted Mrs. Albright to produce her mixes on a larger scale. She worked with a chemist to adapt her recipes for mass production, leading to the manufacturing of her waffle mix, coating mix, and syrup for national distribution. Her products were debuted on the ‘Dave Koz Mediterranean Cruise’ in 2017. In June 2018, she officially became ‘America’s Waffle Queen,’ a title she had been known by among friends for over 25 years. This rebranding solidified her identity and differentiated her products due to her personal likeness being featured on them.
