Kent Farrington

Kent Farrington is a leading international show jumping athelete, recognized globally for his consistent performance and numerous victories. After securing a gold medal at the 1999 North American Young Riders International Competition, Kent Farrington embarked on a distinguished professional career, building on a strong foundation that included winning both the Washington International Equitation Medal and the Eiser/Pessoa National Equitation Medal Finals during his junior years. This early proficiency led to mentorship under two-time US Olympian Leslie Howard and recognition with the prestigious Maxine Beard Award, honoring riders with significant international potential. Farrington achieved his first Grand Prix win in 2004 at Saugerties with his horse Madison, which subsequently earned the American Grandprix Association’s ‘Horse of the Year’ title in 2005.

In 2015, Farrington made history as the first American to win the Rolex Top Ten Final with Voyeur, demonstrating his exceptional competitive edge. The following year, he earned a team silver medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, once again partnered with Voyeur, marking a career-defining moment. In 2017, he became the first American to win the Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Spruce Meadows with Gazelle. This sustained high performance culminated in Kent Farrington being ranked World Number One on the FEI World Jumping Rankings for an impressive consecutive period from April 2017 to March 2018.
