Kerr Smiith

Kerr Smith was born on March 9, 1972, in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Barbara (Hess) and Rick Smith. He completed his high school education at Henderson High School in 1990 and subsequently pursued higher education at the University of Vermont, where he earned a degree in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting and Finance. Following his graduation, Smith relocated to New York City, initiating his acting career. His early work included a role on “As the World Turns” from 1996 to 1997, along with appearances in films such as “Hit and Runway” and “Kiss and Tell.”

After approximately three years in New York City, Smith moved to Los Angeles. Within seven weeks of his arrival, he secured the role of Jack McPhee on the series “Dawson’s Creek,” which ran from 1998 to 2003. This role provided him with significant exposure and was a key milestone in his career. Throughout the subsequent two decades, Smith continued to work in both film and television, with notable roles in projects such as the film “Final Destination” (2000), a cameo in “The Broken Hearts Club” (2000), and appearances in television series including “E-Ring” (2005–2006), “Justice” (2006–2007), “Life Unexpected” (2010–2011), and the film “My Bloody Valentine 3D” (2009). He also appeared in “Charmed” (2004–2005) as Agent Kyle Brody and had recurring roles on “The Fosters” (2014–2018) as Robert Quinn and “Riverdale” (2019–2020) as Principal Holden Honey.

In addition to his acting commitments, Kerr Smith has other ventures, including co-ownership of the Venice Beach Beer Company. His personal interests include flying airplanes and riding motorcycles. He married Harmoni Everett in 2003, with their marriage concluding in 2009. He later married Lisa Smith in 2017. His career also includes a directorial credit for one episode of “Dawson’s Creek” in 2002. Smith’s consistent work across various platforms demonstrates a sustained presence in the entertainment industry.
