Dawson’s Creek star Kerr Smith is also known for his roles in Charmed and The Fosters, as well as films Final Destination, and Where Hope Grows.
Smith’s acting career began in his twenties, when he started to land roles on television and in films. He starred in As the World Turns for a year before winning his breakout role in Dawson’s Creek, which he was in for five years. Over the course of his appearances in 113 episodes of the teen drama he broke history, becoming the first man to share an on-screen gay kiss on American television. In 2000 Smith appeared in two major films, The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy and Final Destination and over the next few years he became a hugely sought after young actor. He starred in shows such as CSI and The Outer Limits as well as films Critical Assembly with Katherine Heigl and My Bloody Valentine 3D. He’s had several recurring roles in popular television dramas, such as Charmed, E-Ring, Justice, and Eli Stone and in 2014 landed his next major role in The Fosters. He appeared in the show for 17 episodes, cementing his reputation as a talented and versatile actor.
Most recently, Smith has continued to land roles in acclaimed television dramas such as Riverdale and Into the Dark. Outside of his acting career he is also the founder of his own holistic health and wellness business, TerraLife Wellness.
